You mean the XLS calculator? It does only exists for 4.x. You can use it also for 5.x, it is just an estimator and will work for both versions.

Can you goto Network adapters on the configuration page of ESXi in vSphere Client and check the status of vmnic1. Also you can run the command esxcfg-nics -l on ssh and check the status.
