What about "business as usual" ?
In the past turning off debugging by setting an option never worked.
So we had to swap the name of the binaries - same story on Linux as on Windows.
Create a backup of vmware-vmx-debug and then rename or copy vmware-vmx to vmware-vmx-debug.
I would expect that it is still the same as always before - I am downloading the beta right now and can tell you later if it still applies to this version.
